Overview
Students are invited to join us for an exclusive full-day event at Snapchat HQ in Farringdon, London, where students aged 16-19 (Sixth Form/college) will gain a truly unique insight into one of the world's largest tech companies.
What's happening in the day?
Networking Carousel: Students will meet Snap employees from a range of sectors - from designers to engineers, marketers to brand strategists - and learn about careers that they never knew existed.
Work Experience Panel: They will hear first-hand from other young people who have recently worked for Snap. They'll share their experiences, insights, and tips for starting their own careers.
Empathy Skills Workshop: They will learn about what skills they should focus on developing to excel in their early careers.
Business Challenge Workshop: Students will work in teams to tackle a real-world business challenge. Led by the amazing Suit Up organisation, Students will pitch their solution to a panel of expert judges and have a chance to win cool prizes. All whilst gaining an understanding of the business world and roles within it, such as CEO, CFO, and VP of Marketing.
Who's organising the event?
The event is organised by Snap Inc. and Empathy Week (www.empathy-week.com) an organisation that runs a festival of events, films and opportunities for students to develop the skill of empathy.
This event will host 60 students aged 16-19 from 7 different schools and will be an exclusive workshop to Empathy Week - it truly is a very special insight into the working world and an opportunity like no other.
Timing of the event
The event will run at Snap HQ, Farringdon London Offices from 9:45am until 4pm. Whilst confirming your child's attendance to Empathy Week, please understand that students will be accompanied by their teachers and your school will liase with you about travel, transport and any safety concerns.
